Naval Engineering

The experience needed to keep our nation’s ships mission ready

Modern naval operations logistics have become incredibly complex, and the demands to affordably sustain and extend the total life cycle of assets have never been greater.

For 30 years ATS has been instrumental in developing and enhancing many of the processes and systems used by the US Navy to keep ships mission ready, such as the Materials Conditions Assessment system ROCKATS.   Our deep expertise and attention to detail is second to none and has established us a trusted partner in the naval logistics arena.

Our mission is two fold–to ensure that you have just the right resources on board to keep your systems fully operational at sea, and to maximize the efficient operation of these resources during their viable lifecycle. Achieving our mission requires the unique combination of experience, skills and approach that differentiates ATS from the pack.

Skilled people with the necessary technical and logistics expertise

Our staff averages over 20 years experience, and has technical expertise in fields such as nuclear power, electronic warfare, communications, aviation support and damage control.  In addition to their technical field of expertise, all team members are highly trained in logistics processes.

This technical knowledge and logistics synergy enables us to uncover configuration and logistics discrepancies, and make important discoveries that may go unnoticed by non-technical personnel.  More than simply speaking the same technical language as the crews we support, our team’s knowledge directly leads to more uptime in the field and greater operational efficiency.

Our team is augmented by career logistic professionals, with decades of experience in navigating naval logistics and supply systems.

A cost effective and thorough logistics approach

Accurate, detailed configuration management and materials assessment data is essential to keep key systems operational, and costs at a minimum.  That means instead of taking a cursory glance at previous work orders and reports, we physically validate the existence of parts, documentation and the equipment itself.  We also report on everything we find, including what is correct as well as communicating the details of any discrepancies.  Our reports routinely uncover more potential issues and areas for follow-up than reports from other contractors doing comparable work.

Not only do we offer exceptional value for the tasks we are assigned to, we also ‘connect the dots’ and advise our customers if discoveries we’ve made can be leveraged across similar configurations in the fleet.  Our experienced team is always vigilant as we carry out our duties.  We report any discrepancies we discover, regardless of where they occur, so they can be dealt with before operations are affected.
